On September 16, 2023, we were honored to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Taiwan Society for Stereotactic Functional Neurosurgery and Radiosurgery (TSSFNR), where the Vercise Genus™ Deep Brain Stimulation System was officially unveiled in Taiwan for the first time.

 

This year's TSSFNR Annual Meeting revolved around the themes of Image-Guided Neurosurgery (SRS), Neuromodulation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). It not only attracted the participation of renowned medical professionals from both locally and internationally but also facilitated the sharing of the latest medical advancements through online video conferences.

 

Boston Scientific International B.V. (BS) Vercise Genus™ Deep Brain Stimulation System garnered significant attention from the attending neurologists and neurosurgeons. This exhibition marked the initial foray of BS's Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) into the Taiwanese market. With the Directional Lead and Genus MICC (Multi Independent Current Control) System and image-guided programming capability, we are poised to stand out in the Taiwanese market competition. Furthermore, we are proactively establishing collaborations with prominent teaching hospitals at the launch's inception, aiming to provide optimal treatment options for patients.
